methodology

Framework adapted from Walletbeat and extended to the whole neobank landscape: custody, card network, cashback, yield, stablecoin support, KYC posture, audience niche, geography and founding year. Data-section format inspired by L2Beat.

Traditional — licensed fiat neobanks, fully custodial. Hybrid — fiat banking plus custodial crypto. Web3-native — self-custodial, on-chain-first, where the user (or their agent) holds keys. Niche tags surface the audience-first generation: women-only, gen alpha, gen z & students, immigrants & migrant workers, Black community, LGBTQ+, freelancers & creators, SMB & startups, seniors, healthcare pros, faith-based, disabilities, gig workers, underbanked, travel, climate.

Super-app wallets (GCash, PhonePe, GrabPay…) are included where they hold balances and function as everyday money apps at bank-like scale. Directory covers verified, currently-operating entities only — defunct neobanks (Daylight, Volt, Xinja, P.F.C., Orange Bank…) and pure infrastructure providers (BaaS, issuer-processors) are excluded by design. Logos load from each bank's own domain favicon; if one is missing you'll see its initial instead. Fields marked "—" were not publicly verifiable. Rates are "up to" figures that change constantly and vary by region — always confirm with the issuer.
